Meeting Point
All the people came together as one in the square before the Water Gate. They told Ezra the teacher of the Law to bring out the Book of the Law of Moses, which the Lord had commanded for Israel. (Nehemiah 8:1)
Hundreds of rivers gather and head to the same sea. It is a spectacular view. What is it that makes so many different people or matters converge on others at the same place and time? What kind of force is lying behind ?
Renowned American writer pastor Frederick Buechner says, “The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.”
Calling is what is behind. The two parties just naturally come together, without having to accommodate each other or deliberately please each other.
If you have calling, you don’t need to change the course, just keep going. People with the same calling will naturally meet with you. They don’t need to change their course either, they also just follow their own direction. An amazing thing happens, both parties will meet.
You don’t have to jump here and there, just follow the calling in your heart. When you set your mind on a goal and strive towards it, the whole world will rise to help you out. It is because people with the same calling will simply gather together in the one same place.
